About Us

The club was originally founded in 2001 by a group of stay-at-home moms.  The idea was to support stay-at-home moms and their children, mainly through daytime playgroups.

Since then, we have expanded the club to include the whole family.  We understand that having interaction with other families is important to the moms, kids and even the dads.  Our club strives to make it easy for families to participate and share in group activities.  Lincoln Moms and Kids Too! continues to grow and we currently have about 60 families in our membership.

The primary goal of Lincoln Moms and Kids Too! is to provide moral support to parents, both those who stay at home and those who work, and to extend opportunities to establishing a network of friends and allies for both parents and children.

These various activities and events provide opportunities for our children to have fun, learn social skills and make new friends.  At the same time, this provides opportunities for moms and dads to engage in adult conversation and activities, and make new friends as well. 

We aspire to be a large enough group to sustain activities that interest everyone, yet small enough to remain friendly and family-like.

There is a nominal membership fee of $20.00 prorated annually as specified below:

Dues cover the cost of our web hosting services, domain registration and other club expenses.  We do our best to keep everything affordable as possible, and most of our activities are free.

You may attend two trial events such as a park day or club meeting before you decide to join.  Please contact our Membership VP at membership@lincolnmomsandkidstoo.com for more information.

Please fill out the membership application, make your dues check payable to "Lincoln Moms" and mail the application and check to: Lincoln Moms and Kids Too!, P.O. Box 292, Lincoln, CA  95648.

Once you have completed the application and paid the appropriate dues, we will add you to our mailing list, invite you to join our Yahoo! group, and give you access to the members only section of our website, so that you have the opportunity to be informed of what is going on!

As a member, you will be expected to do 2 things to support the club:

First, host or help out with two activities per year.  These can be as simple and fun...a field trip to the zoo, a game night for moms or you can help coordinate one of our holiday events.

Second, participate in a service project or fundraising activity.  Each year we make donations to local non-profit groups or help an area in our community.  We keep it painless!  Some past fundraisers have included yard sales, book drives and working a night at Round Table.  Our fundraisers and service projects have benefited Ride to Walk, the Lincoln Library, Lighthouse Resource Center, the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Placer County and other organizations benefiting mothers and children.
